ClubWPT Gold Rake Structure: The Full Cap Table, and What the Rake Actually Costs

ClubWPT Gold's last rake structure published by the operator charged 4% of the pot with a three-tier rake cap set by the number of players in the hand: 0.15, 0.15 and 0.30 Chips at 0.02/0.05, for heads-up, 3-4 handed and 5-plus handed play. That table stood on the operator's support site on 1 April 2025 and 13 August 2025, recovered cell for cell by Internet Archive capture and Upswing Poker screenshot. ClubWPT Gold has since deleted it, and CrushCards verified the removal on 15 September 2026.

A player report dated 16 April 2026 puts the four lowest stakes at 5%, and CrushCards could not confirm the current percentage from any primary source. On CrushCards' own calculation that ClubWPT Gold cash game rake costs 9.00 big blinds per 100 hands at 4%, or 11.25 at 5% — $0.32 an hour at 4%, $0.39 at 5% — which is also the win rate needed simply to break even. Plan around 5%, and treat 4% as the better case.

At the 4% it last published, ClubWPT Gold charged the lowest headline rake percentage of any poker room a US player can reach; at the 5% reported in April 2026 it would tie Global Poker, BetMGM and Clubs Poker. Its rake cap is the tightest in the US market at either rate, and it is still the more expensive room to play, because ClubWPT Gold rakeback is 0%. What is ClubWPT Gold's rake structure, stake by stake, and how does the rake cap work?

ClubWPT Gold's ring games were raked at 4% of the pot at every stake from 0.02/0.05 to 25/50 Chips, subject to a rake cap set by the number of players in the hand, per the operator's own table published 1 April 2025 and 13 August 2025. The ClubWPT Gold rake 0.02/0.05 row is what the search demand centres on: 4% cap 0.30 for a 5-plus handed pot, 0.15 Chips heads-up or 3-4 handed. ClubWPT Gold has since removed that rake table and a 2026 player report disputes the percentage, so every figure below is dated. The ladder runs 11 redeemable-currency levels; 0.02/0.05 is the NL5 equivalent, 0.20/0.50 the NL50 equivalent benchmarked below.

⚠️ Flag on the 5/10 row. The April 2026 player report and WorldPokerDeals both give ClubWPT Gold's 5-plus handed cap at 5/10 as 20.00, which would reverse the March 2025 cap cut. CrushCards publishes the operator's 15.00 and flags it.

ClubWPT Gold's table used the dual-currency vocabulary retired 24 September 2025; CrushCards converts the redeemable rows to Chips at 1:1 and omits the play-money rows. ClubWPT Gold's footnotes read: *"Please note that some games might include a straddle or ante, or both, and this will not affect the rake caps or %s", and "This rake scale is subject to change, and will be updated as higher staked games become available."

How ClubWPT Gold's three-tier rake cap works

ClubWPT Gold's rake cap has three tiers, set by the number of players in the hand, per the operator's own column headers: 2P Cap | 3,4P Cap | 5P+ Cap. ClubWPT Gold does not state whether it counts players dealt in or seated. At 0.02/0.05 the heads-up and 3-4 handed caps are both 0.15 Chips against a 0.30 Chip 5-plus handed cap, so a short-handed pot pays half the full-ring maximum amount. Pokerfuse and PokerCoaching, the two most-cited reviews, silently drop that middle tier.

Is ClubWPT Gold's rake 4% or 5% right now?

CrushCards could not confirm ClubWPT Gold's current rake percentage from a primary source. ClubWPT Gold's rake page is deleted, and clubwptgold.com is geo-gated and client-rendered, so the in-client schedule could not be read. The last figure ClubWPT Gold published is 4%, dated 13 August 2025. The most recent anyone has published is 5%, dated 16 April 2026, from a player.

The player report deserves more weight than a forum figure usually gets, and less than a primary source. Six of the nine caps it lists match ClubWPT Gold's own 5-plus handed column exactly; the three that differ — 1/2, 3/6 and 5/10 — are the same three stakes where reviewers also reported figures the operator's published table did not carry. Against it: it is second-hand, and the original post was not located.

ClubWPT Gold's published table also did not match what reviewers and players reported at two stakes. ClubWPT Gold listed 6.00 at 1/2 and "HU Only" at 3/6, while Pokerfuse twice, WorldPokerDeals and the April 2026 player report all give 8.00 at 1/2 and a 12.00 full-ring cap at 3/6 — Pokerfuse's first observation five months before the page was last archived unchanged. Plan around 5% at ClubWPT Gold, and treat 4% as the better case.

Where has ClubWPT Gold's official rake page gone?

ClubWPT Gold has deleted its own rake page. support.clubwptgold.com/portal/en/kb/articles/rake, titled "Rake Structure", returns "Sorry, this page doesn't exist". The alternate host clubwptgold.zohodesk.com 301-redirects to that same support host, so it is the same page, not independent corroboration. CrushCards verified both on 15 September 2026. The removal falls between 13 August 2025, the last archive capture, and that check. Tier: CrushCards verification, corroborated by the live Ring games listing, which holds 11 articles and no rake article.

ClubWPT Gold itself treated that page as its canonical answer. On 4 February 2025 its own X account answered a player asking for the rake structure with a link to that URL. That post is still the number one organic result for the head term, its only payload a link to a page since removed.

Does ClubWPT Gold take rake when a hand ends before the flop?

ClubWPT Gold publishes no no-flop-no-drop policy. Nearly every online poker room takes no rake when a hand ends before the flop, and two state the rule themselves: WSOP.com's house rules say "No rake is taken from a hand that ends during the first round of betting (before the flop)". ClubWPT Gold has not said whether it does, and neither have Global Poker or BetMGM: a category-wide gap in which ClubWPT Gold sits on the worse side. Why 4% at ClubWPT Gold costs more than 4% elsewhere: the mandatory straddle

Every ClubWPT Gold 8-max No-Limit Hold'em ring game carries a mandatory straddle and an ante, making the pot the percentage is taken from 2.13 times larger at the same decision point. A flat percentage on a doubled pot is not a flat cost. Upswing Poker, which built a preflop chart set for the format, publishes the pot figures; its prose names only "an ante", and the 0.5 big-blind denomination comes from its chart filenames, not from any ClubWPT Gold statement.

Dividing 35.1 by 16.5 gives a ClubWPT Gold pot inflation factor of 2.13 times. Tier: CrushCards derivation. Dead money explains it: at 0.02/0.05, eight-handed, the blinds, straddle and eight antes of 0.025 each total 0.37 Chips, or 7.4 big blinds, before anyone acts — conditional on the ante being 0.5 of the nominal big blind per player, which no source states outright.

ClubWPT Gold's footnote is literally true and economically misleading. Holding the percentage and the cap constant while enlarging every pot raises what a player pays per 100 hands, because rake is a percentage of the pot size and the cap never binds at micro stakes. One conflict travels with the finding: Upswing calls the straddle mandatory, while PokerCoaching and Pokerfuse both describe a straddle option — two sources against one. If it is optional, average pots are smaller than modelled below and every ClubWPT Gold cost figure falls with them.

Where does ClubWPT Gold's rake cap actually start saving you money?

ClubWPT Gold's rake cap starts saving money at 0.50/1.00 and above, where the 4.00 Chip cap is reached inside a single 100 big-blind pot. At 0.02/0.05 it never binds, so a micro-stakes player pays the full percentage on virtually every raked pot. Restating ClubWPT Gold's Chip figures in big blinds shows why.

ClubWPT Gold's cap tightens monotonically going up, 6.0 BB at 0.02/0.05 to 1.5 BB at 5/10. That is why Upswing calls the rake fair for mid-stakes while PokerCoaching calls it reasonable at micro stakes: both read the same table from opposite ends.

 At ClubWPT Gold's last-published 4%, a 150 big-blind pot needs 75 big blinds each from two players, where a full buy-in is 5.00 Chips; at 5% the cap still needs a 120 big-blind pot. ClubWPT Gold's cap at 0.02/0.05 is decorative. PokerPro.tools, dated 12 July 2026, finds the same across the category: caps "almost never bind" at NL2 to NL25. At 0.50/1.00 it flips, since the 4.00 Chip cap is reached in a 100 BB pot. ClubWPT Gold's rake gets cheaper as you climb, and the mechanism is the higher cap, not the percentage.

What does ClubWPT Gold's rake cost per 100 hands?

CrushCards' own calculation: ClubWPT Gold cash game rake costs 9.00 big blinds per 100 hands (bb/100) at the operator's last-published 4% of 13 August 2025, or 11.25 bb/100 at the 5% reported on 16 April 2026, for a seated player at 0.02/0.05, 8-handed. At 1 Chip = $1 that is $0.45 per 100 hands at 4%, $0.56 at 5% — $0.32 an hour at 4%, $0.39 at 5%, at 70 hands an hour.

How CrushCards calibrated ClubWPT Gold's average raked pot

CrushCards calibrated the average raked pot rather than asserting it. Running PrimeDope's 7.4 bb/100 for PokerStars' international 6-max configuration at $0.25/$0.50 back through the model implies a 14.8 BB pot, which Upswing's 2.13 factor lifts to 31.5 BB. CrushCards chose 30 BB independently. PrimeDope publishes two further PokerStars configurations at that stake — 8.69 bb/100 for PokerStars US, 9.01 for PokerStars.com — and both imply materially larger pots, so this is a check against one named row, not a validation across PrimeDope's PokerStars set.

Four caveats belong beside ClubWPT Gold's number:

• It is a model, not a measurement, while every competitor figure here comes from hand histories.
• It is stated at micro stakes because the cap is unreachable there, so truncation cannot distort it.
• The stake is the most-searched; no data exists on the most-played.
• The two decimals carry the model's arithmetic, not its accuracy. Resting on one assumption, one back-solve and an unconfirmed rate, 9.00 and 11.25 read better as roughly 9 and 11 bb/100.

What win rate do you need to break even against ClubWPT Gold's rake?

On CrushCards' own calculation, a ClubWPT Gold player at 0.02/0.05 must win 9.00 big blinds per 100 hands before rake, or 11.25 if the 5% reported on 16 April 2026 is current, simply to break even. Rake leaves the pot before the winner touches it, so the break-even win rate equals the rake incidence.

At NL10 and above, the rake ClubWPT Gold takes exceeds an elite player's entire net win rate on BlackRain79's benchmarks. A player beating the ClubWPT Gold pool by 9 bb/100 gross, above BlackRain79's elite threshold at those stakes, breaks exactly even.

The caveat belongs in the same breath. BlackRain79's benchmarks describe standard games, and ClubWPT Gold's pool is described in trade coverage as soft, which would support a higher gross win rate — CrushCards could not trace that to a single named review, so it is carried as trade-press consensus, not a sourced figure. The comparison shows the size of the hurdle, not that the game is unbeatable. One 30,000-hand self-report at 0.10/0.20, reproduced on the GTO Wizard board, estimates 20 bb/100 of rake against a 10 bb/100 win rate. Tier: Player report.

Is ClubWPT Gold's rake higher than other US poker sites?

ClubWPT Gold's rake is the most expensive of any poker room a US player can reach once rakeback is counted: 9.00 bb/100 at 4% and 11.25 at 5%, against 5.44 to 8.00 net at the five rivals below. Set the benchmark first. Across the poker rooms PrimeDope tracks at the $0.25/$0.50 benchmark stake, rake costs 6.2 to 9.7 bb/100, clustering around 8 to 9, from each operator's rules applied to several million hands of pot-size data. PokerPro.tools puts it at 7 to 8; Two Plus Two posts, which CrushCards could reach only as search snippets and could not open to read, put it at 8 to 10. That band is what normal looks like.

At the 4% ClubWPT Gold last published, it charged the lowest headline rake percentage of any poker room a US player can reach: 4% against 5.00% to 5.56%. At the 5% reported in April 2026 it would tie Global Poker, BetMGM and Clubs Poker at 5.00%, still undercutting WSOP.com and PokerStars US. ClubWPT Gold's rake cap wins outright at either rate: 6.0 BB at the NL10-equivalent against 10.0 to 30.0 BB above. The rakeback column reverses both. ClubWPT Gold returns 0% by its own statement while Global Poker is reported to return 30% of ring-game rake, so a 10,000-hand month at the $0.50 big-blind level costs about $450 net against about $280 — 61% more, or 101% more at 5%.

What ClubWPT Gold's 61% gap rests on, and where it is soft

Global Poker's 30% giveback is the one input the 61% and 101% gaps turn on, and it does not carry the weight of an operator term. It is attributed to Card Player, 18 April 2023, a promotional announcement rather than a current published rate; Global Poker's own rake and Vault pages could not be read from outside its eligible territory, though its help centre is live. Pokerfuse's Global Poker review records that the Vault giveback carries a wagering requirement, so it is not a dollar-for-dollar cost reduction, and the same review elsewhere says "you do not really get any kind of return on the rake produced". PrimeDope, the source of the 8.00 gross figure the 30% is applied to, records Global Poker rakeback as none published. Treat 61% as the widest defensible reading of a contested offset, not a settled cash gap.

ClubWPT Gold's verdict is two-sided: both the cheapest-looking poker room in the US market and, on this rake comparison, the most expensive to play, for three reasons unrelated to the headline number:

• A mandatory straddle and an ante roughly double every pot the percentage is taken from.
• ClubWPT Gold's rakeback is zero while its closest competitor is reported to return 30%.
• ClubWPT Gold deleted its own rake table, so a player cannot check any of it.

Does ClubWPT Gold offer rakeback, and does the $99 GoldMember subscription cut the rake?

ClubWPT Gold rakeback is 0%, and ClubWPT Gold says so itself.

ClubWPT Gold gives three reasons, and a player weighing whether 0% is acceptable deserves them:

1. Fairness — rakeback disproportionately benefits high-volume players.
2. Value-driven rewards — promotions and leaderboards instead.
3. A sustainable ecosystem — reducing the risk of predatory play.

ClubWPT Gold also runs no VIP scheme, no tier ladder and no points currency, which is unusual: almost every room in Table 9 operates one of the loyalty programs the category expects.

The $99 per month GoldMember subscription contains no rake term. ClubWPT Gold's subscription does not:

• cut the rake percentage;
• raise the rake cap in the player's favour;
• return any rake;
• or unlock lower-rake tables.

ClubWPT Gold's $6 is fixed and rake scales with volume, so its value as an offset collapses the more you play. GoldMember is a training product and worth judging as one. Two things CrushCards will not claim:

• that the 105 Chips are instantly withdrawable — the knowledge base implies it but never states it;
• that the weekly freeroll's 5,000 extra starting Chips per 1,000 ring-game hands is rakeback. That is a bigger starting stack, and field size is unpublished, so no expected value exists.

How much is the tournament fee at ClubWPT Gold?

The only tournament fee figure ClubWPT Gold publishes is a worked example — 10 Chips of a 110 Chip buy-in — which implies 10%. The only ranking page publishing a fee percentage at all is WorldPokerDeals, whose "10% to 15%" range CrushCards could not support with any located event.

ClubWPT Gold's fee does not fall at the top of the schedule. The only two rows below 10% sit mid-ladder, at 218 (9.0%) and 320 (6.7%); the 1,100 buy-in returns to 10.0%. Freeroll entries cost 0 Chips. Two corrections are worth publishing:

• The circulating claim that ClubWPT Gold's tournament rake varies from 10% to 15% is unsupported — CrushCards located no event above 10%.
• Non-publication of a fee schedule is the category norm: WSOP.com and PokerStars US publish only the mechanism, BetMGM only a range.

What has changed in ClubWPT Gold's rake, and how CrushCards verified it

ClubWPT Gold's rake has three documented changes since February 2025: the March 2025 Doug Polk cap concession, the September 2025 currency switch that left the rake untouched, and the removal of the rake page itself by September 2026. The move to 5% is reported, not documented.

CrushCards recovered ClubWPT Gold's table from Internet Archive raw captures and read the live knowledge base through a JavaScript-rendering proxy, because support.clubwptgold.com returns an empty shell to a plain fetch. The live client could not be read: clubwptgold.com is geo-gated and client-rendered. One player-reported figure is flagged above, not published as fact: the 20.00 cap at 5/10, which only WorldPokerDeals corroborates and which ClubWPT Gold's own table and Pokerfuse's give as 15.00.
